November

November 17th was Rob and Taylor's Birthdays!
The weekend before we had the family over for some cake and ice cream.
My attempts at an Elmo cake since he is Taylor's favorite. I used so much food coloring though to get him red enough that the frosting tasted bad! It wasn't even frosting anymore, we just fed everyone pure Red 40,yum.

On their actual birthday my parents took Taylor out for ice cream and to pick out a book at the book store. Rob and I took advantage and went out to dinner so he could feel like it was his birthday too.

These aren't great pictures but this was her big present I gave her on her birthday morning. It is a little felt house that I made. She was pretty excited about it. Thank goodness! After all the work I was worried she wouldn't even care about it. It is just a little playhouse my sister Chrystal gave me the idea for like a year ago! There are things on all of the outside walls to play with and a couple of doors. It just took me forever to sit down and finish it.

You can see the mullet in full force here.

We hosted Thanksgiving at our house this year and had most of Rob's siblings come out. We had a lot of fun playing some game and chatting and eating a lot. We rented a bounce house for the kids, which was a big hit and a great babysitter I might add! Yes I was super lame and did not take a single picture which I regret terribly but what can you do!

Oh my...

How did I get so far behind? Let's start with October.

The beginning of October we went to Newport Beach with my family. We had a wonderful and relaxing trip.

The biggest news is that while we were there we found out that I am pregnant! We are super excited (and at times super scared too!) Due in June :)

Then it was time for Halloween. This is us at the pumpkin patch. I guess it was more of a big pile of pumpkins.

Taylor was a little fairy for Halloween. She was SUPER cranky as I was trying to get a picture and this was the best I got. Our ward puts on a big festival in the park that we went to first where we ate and Taylor played a little on the huge bounce house which she LOVED. She did surprisingly well at the trunk or treat, considering when we are usually around strangers she clings to me. She actually would walk up and hold her little bucket out to get candy, she wouldn't say anything to them though.

Anyways, that was our October. Next I will try and do November and then hopefully I will be caught up eventually.

A little bit about nothing.

(July,2010)
I was thinking how I need to write more everyday things down for memories sake, so this is going to be on the boring side!

Taylor and I have been getting out last trips to the pool in. Yes, it is still crazy hot so we are still going to the pool. I think that the cool down is coming, at least I am hoping so! We are so ready for cooler weather and more time at the park. We have also been enjoying going to a little music class once a week. It is just a little class at the community center, but Taylor loves it! She tries to sing along and copy everything the teacher does. It is really fun to have something different to do. She seems to be getting so old. She is talking all the time. Most of the time I am not sure what she is saying still but for the most part she says a lot and we communicate pretty good. She also had a little growth spurt and grew like 3 in. this summer so she is just getting bigger!

Things she loves right now:

Her cousin Addy- asks for her on a daily basis
Elmo
Curious George- this is s new love she could watch this movie all day
singing songs
Watching home videos of herself
playing outside and going on walks
her little baby doll- it goes everywhere with us
playing in the water- she is always asking to "wash her hands"
When it comes to foods she doesn't like much, bu her fav. is probably just cheese
She loves to drink though. Pretty much anything.

I feel like I never have much to say about what Rob is up to, I feel bad about that. It is mostly because his time is mostly spent working! Things are going pretty good at work for him. He is mostly just counting down to our vacation to Ca, which is in a week! His biggest love is Tennis. He goes at least twice a week to play, and he would go more if he could. And usually if he is watching T.V it is on the Tennis Channel. Did you know there is a tennis channel? We have also been doing some house projects here and there. I will have to post pics of that later, I think this post is long and boring enough!!

A weeknight date.

Last week, before we went to Vegas, Rob and I got to go on a little date to the Diamondbacks game. Rob got a couple of tickets from work, so we thought we might as well go. At first it seemed like too much of a hassle by time Rob even got home from work, but we had so much fun! We ended up just sitting at the TGIF's that is in the stadium and got to eat and watch the game. And eating makes everything even better. So it was unexpectedly a really fun date in the middle of the week.

Vegas

We just got back from a long weekend in Vegas. It was so fun 'cause we got to meet up with our good good friends from dental school, the Lamberts. We spent most of our time walking around looking at the different hotels and some time swimming and chatting. So good to see you guys!

Don't judge us...

What? You don't let your child sit on the counter and eat frosting at 10:00 in the morning?!

I'd like to introduce you to...

...vacation Rob. Vacation Rob comes around on most weekends and always when we get away on a trip. Vacation Rob is happy, relaxed and care free. It is so fun when he come out to play!

(Just as a disclaimer: Rob knows all about Vacation Rob and my feelings towards him.)

Rob and I were lucky enough to get away on another little trip. This one was better though because it wasn't attached to a work function. Rob had a long weekend so we wanted to go somewhere close to maximize our time. Palm Springs is about 3 1/2 hrs away and since it is as hot AZ you can get killer rates at the really nice resorts. So my wonderful family watched Taylor and Rob and I went to the J.W. Marriott resort and spent 3 days relaxing, eating, sleeping, eating some more and shopping. A true vacation.
