Things I want to remember: our hobo

For awhile Taylor has been into collecting things, mostly her toys, and putting them into little containers. I feel like it used to be smaller things such as purses and little bags but then it became her little strollers and shopping carts. She just goes through her room and fills it up. I am not sure if there is a method to it or not. SOmetimes she will wheel it around the house and add things she decides she wants. I have found some of my makeup, a belt, even my salad spinner.
Yesterday she asked me to put Brecklynn in the laundry basket so she could push her around. Brecklynn seemed to enjoy it so I let her. Then Taylor started filling the basket with one of her collections, which Brecklynn actually really enjoyed. Before I knew it Brecklynn was covered up to her chest. They were both totally happy like that and this went on for almost an hour.
( all I got was a bad phone pic to document)

much of the same...

September is of course still very hot here! So are days were filled with most of the same playing indoors. If we ventured out it was usually to the pool or the splash pad. We did do a music class with some friends at the library that Taylor really enjoyed. I am thinking dance next since lately she begs to wear dresses and dance around the house. Taylor often does silly things and then requests a picture be taken of it.
Fixing the sprinklers w/ dad. She loves to do ANYTHING with dad, but digging in the dirt and trying help fix things is especially gun to her.
Taylor LOVED going to the beach pool. Just driving by it she begs to go, even when it is cold outside. She really doesn't like swimming in our pool though! She will sit on the stairs but gets so frantic if we try to take her around and get her to kick and swim. We just really want her to learn. We are hoping that this summer she will let us teach her. Otherwise I might have to do swim lessons again, which was horrible from my last experience!
Brecklynn has been such an awesome baby! Now she hasn't slept as well as Taylor did, we are just finally getting over some sleepless nights. But she is just such a content and HAPPY baby. She has always been very smiley and these days I can just look at her and she busts out laughing. Taylor has been very good since the beginning. Really helping me get things Brecklynn may need. She is very protective over her. When she was real little Taylor did not like other people holding her or even looking at her sometimes. We just love her and all the smiles and happiness she brings to our family. Now don't get me wrong, she may not cry a lot but when she does it isn't even a cry she just skips strait to screaming! So a good thing it isn't that often I guess!

I have realized all of these pictures have been taken on my phone. That is just how it is. My phone is what I always have with me. Better than no pictures I suppose.

Life

I can't believe how fast time seems to be flying! My little Brecklynn, or "Brecks" as Taylor calls her, is already 7 months old. I feel bad that I have not been good about recording all the milestones and memories, but I also have just been enjoying life! August was a busy month for us. Brecklynn was just about 5 weeks old. My little brother Glen got married. Which is still crazy, to me he still seems 13. So we had a lot of family come in town and had so much fun hanging out and seeing everyone. Taylor LOVED the wedding. She pretends she is getting married all of the time. She especially loved the dancing! That girl wanted to be on the dance floor all night with her cousins.
We took advantage of having a bunch of family in town and blessed Brecklynn that same weekend. It was a whirlwind, but we were so glad that people could be there and get to meet Brecklynn.
Two weeks after that Rob decided to have knee surgery. He has had this bad knee for years and was been told he needed his meniscus repaired for awhile. The surgery was fast and everything went fine. The recovery was not what he thought though. It still isn't back to even what it was before the surgery. He is somewhat disappointed. He was really hoping to improve his tennis game!!
This is Taylor braving the heat to play sidewalk chalk. Due to the heat and new baby we spent all of our other time mostly indoors!
Hopefully I will get around to months September - Now someday!! One step at a time...
