Taylor and I have been getting out last trips to the pool in. Yes, it is still crazy hot so we are still going to the pool. I think that the cool down is coming, at least I am hoping so! We are so ready for cooler weather and more time at the park. We have also been enjoying going to a little music class once a week. It is just a little class at the community center, but Taylor loves it! She tries to sing along and copy everything the teacher does. It is really fun to have something different to do. She seems to be getting so old. She is talking all the time. Most of the time I am not sure what she is saying still but for the most part she says a lot and we communicate pretty good. She also had a little growth spurt and grew like 3 in. this summer so she is just getting bigger!

A weeknight date.
Last week, before we went to Vegas, Rob and I got to go on a little date to the Diamondbacks game. Rob got a couple of tickets from work, so we thought we might as well go. At first it seemed like too much of a hassle by time Rob even got home from work, but we had so much fun! We ended up just sitting at the TGIF's that is in the stadium and got to eat and watch the game. And eating makes everything even better. So it was unexpectedly a really fun date in the middle of the week.Tuesday, September 14, 2010

I'd like to introduce you to...
Rob and I were lucky enough to get away on another little trip. This one was better though because it wasn't attached to a work function. Rob had a long weekend so we wanted to go somewhere close to maximize our time. Palm Springs is about 3 1/2 hrs away and since it is as hot AZ you can get killer rates at the really nice resorts. So my wonderful family watched Taylor and Rob and I went to the J.W. Marriott resort and spent 3 days relaxing, eating, sleeping, eating some more and shopping. A true vacation.

View of the Valley
For the fouth we just took a little drive up the mountain, or hill, whatever, and watched the firework shows going around all over the valley. We didn't stay long because Taylor was gettinbg fussy, but it was nice to get out and see a little bit of firewroks to make it feel like the fourth. We are pretty exciting, i know....Tuesday, June 29, 2010

Taylor's first visit to nursery.
So a couple of Sunday's ago was Taylor's first Sunday in the Nursery. I had been taking her in there for awhile now so she was pretty used to it and ran right in! But when I went to pick her up after church I went in and she wasn't there. I asked the girls if Rob had already come for her and they just looked at each other. It was then concluded that she must have escaped during some of the commotion of other kids being picked up. We all went to look for her and she was found just walking around the halls totally oblivious. It was kind of funny. And Taylor is a runner so I am not that surprised!
Yesterday was a different story. She was cranky and clingy and it took me awhile to sneak out, and when I did she cried. It wasn't for long though and they said she was fine for the rest of the time, so we will see!

Mother's Day 2010
Just wanted to put up some pics from Mother's Day. I had a wonderful day. Rob took care of Taylor and changed all of the diapers( which is all the present I needed), but he also made me some yummy shish kabobs and gave me a couple of things I wanted for the house. Then we went to my mom's to eat dessert and wish her a Happy Mothers Day. The men were watching the Suns game so we took the kids to the little park nearby just to get out of the house. It was a great day. I am so grateful to live by my mom and sister to celebrate this day with them ( wish you were here too Amber!) It is so great to be able to call them all and get advice on all of my questions! I love being a mom and it is such a fun day. It is also a hard day for us though because we think a lot about Rob's mom and miss her. We wish we could celebrate with her and especially that she could meet Taylor.

That's a lot of candles!
For Easter we just had a little mini egg hunt inside with Taylor. Which really only lasted about 5 min. and consisted of about 4 eggs. I figured she doesn't know the difference! Then on Sunday we went to my sisters and had a yummy Easter dinner. That was actually the same day that there was that earthquake in CA. I was at the kitchen sink when all of the sudden I noticed the pool water sloshing back and forth. Then rob was like, "I think we just had a little earthquake". I laughed at him like "Please we don't have earthquakes here". But we noticed the chandelier was really swinging too. So we turned the news on and there it was. We were feeling it all the way from CA. Crazy!

Well Hello!
End Jan. into Feb.: Sick, sick & sick again
This was probably on her worst day. Poor girl couldn't even open her eyes all the way, like it hurt too much. It broke my heart every time I looked at her. Who knows how we got it. I watched a friends kid one day, that is my guess! Taylor got it first than gave it to Rob and me. Then when we were getting better and she finished her antibiotics she got it again, worse. She is finally on her last day of antibiotics today. Which trying to give her that medicine by the way is not fun! She is a lot better about it now but it took some trial and error on our part. Including one night of me trying to hold her while Rob squirted it down her throat and then us both getting puked all over.
Feb. 17: Taylor is 15 months old
She is busy as ever! This girl never stops moving. She loves playing with Rhett, her baby dolls, taking baths and has really gotten into Baby Eisenstein type movies. Mostly she likes walking all around the house carrying things like a purse or just all of her socks she has pulled out of her drawer. She is talking more and more. She say Hi, mama, dada, up, baby, socks, yes, no and then she signs more, please and thank-you. We can tell she is just learning so much and soaking everything up. I am really enjoying this stage with her. She is becoming such a little girl.My sister Chrystal had her 4th baby. I was invited to the hospital to watch the delivery. It was amazing, I am do grateful she let me come witness it. She made it look so much easier than I remember it being!
Jan. 19th: Rob's New Office Opened

My little sister Amber has her first baby. A couple weeks later Chrystal and I made a little day trip to Tuscon to visit. It was so fun to get to see her. We love having all of these little girl cousins!

Bubbles are scary, who knew?

She wanted out of those horrible bubbles immediately!
