Easter

We had a really nice Easter Sunday last week. We went to church in the morning. It was a really nice meeting, and I really wanted to focus on what Easter is really about. I have been so inspired by other peoples stories of how they are trying to refocus on what Easter really means, I want to be better. Especially all the cute ways to try to teach your kids. I hope I can do that with Taylor someday soon. I admit I am not really good at trying to focus on whats important, but I have been really thinking about the Atonement lately. What a truly amazing gift that I cannot even really understand or wrap my head around. I just know that I am endlessly thankful and know I owe EVERYTHING to my Savior and His amazing sacrifice for me, who feels terribly unworthy.
Anyways...
It was a lot of fun to have a little girl to dress up. After church my family came over and we had a big dinner and than some games and Easter activities after. I was in charge of buying the ham. I had to laugh to myself because as I was buying this 9 lb. ham I thought about how I used to buy this little bitty ham for Rob and I. It really couldn't have been more than a pound. That is what we did our last few Easters together. It has changed SO much. Those Easters were great too, but it was nice to have a big family dinner ( we missed you Amber & Scott).

Here is Taylor with her cousins. It is hard to tell, but these are the matching shirts my sister Chrystal and I made for our girls. They were cute together, but Taylor had to go down for a nap so this was about all we got of them and we could not get Taylor to smile. Not much else is going on. Taylor is getting so squirmy. She wants to put everything in her mouth. Her newest thing is that while she is sleeping she rolls herself over onto her belly. Well when she wakes up she remembers that she hates being on her belly and starts crying. So I have been getting up a few times each night to roll her over and then she'll fall back to sleep. I have tried propping blankets around her and everything, but somehow she still manages to roll over. I am hoping that this little phase doesn't last long!

A visit to my dentist

So yesterday I got to go to Rob's office and experience being the patient. I had this little bud of a wisdom tooth all of my life and for some reason when I got pregnant with Taylor it decided to come down. So Rob said he'd take it out for me. I have to admit I was kind of nervous. I hadn't had any dental work done since I was in like 8th grade! It was fine though! I hardly felt his shots and it took him literally 1 min. to get the tooth out. Then he was checking my other teeth and I had a couple other cavities. I was kinda sad about it. He went to fill one that looked small and it turned out to be a mambo one and I had to get an inlay. I just don't know what happened to my teeth. I used to never get cavities!! It was a lot of fun to see Rob at work and meet all of the people in his office. In a way I was amazed at how good he has become and how comfortable he is with everything and with the patients, but in another way I always new he would be great. It was fun to see.

Birthday week

So a couple Thursdays ago I had my 26th birthday (getting old, I know!) It was really a birthday week though. Every morning starting the beginning of the week Rob left me a sweet little note and a present. Like the first morning a rose and the next some chocolates, etc. Than on my birthday he has these Beautiful flowers sent to the house since he was stuck at work All day. They were so pretty and it was so fun to get flowers because I have never had flowers sent to me before! For lunch that day my Mom and sister Chrystal and her two girls came over with food, presents and a cake. It was a lot of fun to hang out and eat and very sweet of them to come over. My mom got me a gift certificate to a spa and Chrystal got me fun sewing project (which will be a funny post for later...) anyway I loved both of the presents! Then the next day on Friday some girls from thee ward took me out to lunch. I always love going to lunch! I also got to go get my toes done with my good friend Cami. We had such a good time chatting and getting pampered. She is about to have a baby any day so she really needed it too! That night Mom watched Taylor so Rob and I could go to dinner, I ate out a lot if you hadn't gathered that yet! On Saturday Chrystal watched Taylor during the day and Rob and I went down to Tempe Town Lake and went long boarding along the lake and the walked around this festival/ flea marked down there. It was so fun. It felt like we were dating, just running around doing whatever. It was such a fantastic week. I had so much fun(I know I keep saying that, but ti did) and my family and friends made it wonderful!

here are some pics. from our lunch...

Taylor and her cousin Ashtyn. The cousins are SO cute together. Taylor is always smiling and laughing at them and they just love her. It is so precious to watch.
Some other random happenings...

Lately when I have been checking on Taylor while she naps this is what I find. I know it is blurry but I did not want to wake her up with the flash. She loves this little stuffed animal blanket now and always falls asleep with it. Well now she pulls it over her face everyday to go to sleep. It is so funny that she likes it that way.

She has also found her feet and is very entertained by them. It is nice, kind of like an attached toy.
This is after her 4 month check up a few weeks ago. I just think that the little band-aids are pitiful.
And my new Favorite- the bumbo chair. I Love this thing. Taylor had gotten to the point where she wanted to up and looking around at everything, plus the Dr. Told me she has a flat spot and to avoid laying her down on her back for awhile. I would try to prop her up on the bobby and she would just fall forward. This thing is Do great. It hold her in So good and she loves to sit there and watch everything going on. So I just set her up on the kitchen counter while I do dishes or make dinner or on the bathroom sink while I am getting ready. It is great!

My sister, Chrystal, and I also made this shirts for our kids. This is one of the ones that I made. We went in on a sewing matching together and our trying to teach ourselves to sew. If I am feeling brave Maybe I will post some of our other projects that haven't turned out so well!
