3 months

Well Taylor is 3 months old now. I cannot believe how fast it has gone. I had to put away all of the new orn clothes the other day, kinda sad! She had her first cold a couple of weeks ago. It was horrible. I am such a freak about worrying about her anyways so it didn't help! It is good to get the first one out of the way though so now hopefully I won't worry as much when the next one comes around. She is smiling ALL the time now and has discovered she really likes putting her hands in her mouth.
We recently did a little 5k fun walk through the neighborhood on Sat. and then went and watched Rob play tennis. This is when it pays to live in AZ I suppose! The weather has been amazing lately. (Don't mind the pic. of me w/ no make-up on)

Blessing, Superbowl & lots of fun

We have had such a fun couple of weeks. It all started with one of my roommates from BYU, Tina, calling me up and telling me she was coming to visit. I was so excited because I hadn't seen her for a few years. Our other roommate Cami lives here too (lucky for me!), so we all hung out for the weekend.
It is so nice that even though we hadn't seen Tina in years it felt like no time had passed! We spent a lot of time reminiscing of our fun college days. We went to the park and out to dinner and Tina even treated Cami and I to pedicures. Cami and I laughed that it felt more like a vacation for us than Tina! It was so great though, I hope that we can make it a yearly tradition.

So then this past weekend we finally had Taylor's blessing. It was too crazy before with the holidays. We wanted to have everyone over after the blessing for a lunch or something, then when we realized it was Superbowl Sunday it kind of turned into a Superbowl party. It worked out perfectly. Rob's sister Carol and her kids were even able to come down from Utah too which was so so so great. Rob gave Taylor a very sweet blessing, although I could hardly hear it because they couldn't find the microphone! It was really special also because it was almost two years to the day since Rob's mom passed and we were able to bless her and give her Rob's Mom's name for a middle name. It was just a very sweet and spiritual day for us.

Here is Daddy and Daughter on blessing day-

I tried to get a picture of Taylor and Rhett at our Superbowl party but they weren't really cooperating. We didn't have a Steeler outfit for Taylor so she wore her Univ. of Pitt shirt and Rhett is wearing a Steeler bandanna, you just can't tell.

It was such a fun game because it was Cardinals against Steelers. Needless to say Rob and I were the only ones really cheering for the Steelers. We ate TONS of food too, it was so good. We aren't going to know what to do with ourselves this weekend without anything big going on!

Here are a few other pictures from the last few weeks.

I love this chubby face!

Big strides...

Taylor just recently tuned two months and I cannot believe how much she has changes. We went to the doctors and she weighed 12 1/2 lbs.! She is getting chunky, it is so cute! The shots were a little traumatizing, probably more for me than her. She is also getting so smiley.
I love it! I can't not smile when she smiles at me. I am most proud of her though because she has started sleeping so good at night. Last night she slept almost 10 hrs! That was her longest sleep yet. I actually woke up before she did. It is so wonderful. We are both much happier people during the day. I really feel much more sane. We have her on this schedule and it helps her take better naps and sleep at night. It is wonderful!
I have just been feeling so blessed lately that I am able to stay home with her. I am especially thankful to Rob for working SO SO hard so that I can be at home and for all the he provides us with. I am a lucky girl!

Quiet Christmas

Well we had a nice quiet Christmas at home, it was great. Rob was able to take four day off. It was so nice to have him around more! He works so much sometimes I feel like we hardly see him. His brother was able to fly into town and we just hung out. We went to a couple of movies and the boys went paint balling. Mostly we ate A Lot of junk food! Which was bad because Rob had a little gall bladder attack because of it! It wasn't near as bad as the last time and he felt immediately better the next day. Still they told him he needs to have it out (at least this time we had insurance)! Of course Rob really doesn't want it out. Needless to say we are trying to eat a little bit more healthy! It will be good for both of us! We didn't take a lot of pictures, which I am kid of sad now thinking about it, but here is Rob with Taylor on Christmas Eve.

Our little Candy Cane! she is really getting big.
It will be so fun one day when she is big enough to understand what is going on!

Quick Update...

Well it has been a more eventful week for us. The biggest drama was that Rob got stung be a scorpion Thursday night! It was horrible! I guess that is our official welcome to the desert! Rob was just walking through the family room and must have stepped on it and it go his foot. He said it was painful and the poison was even making his leg twitch! The worst part was he felt it for two days! Needless to say we had the exterminators out on Sat. to spray the place down. We also went and bought a black light because for some reason you can see scorpions with a black light, they glow, it is gross. So Rob has been obsessed with checking the house every night. He even got up at 4:30 Sat. night when I got up to feed the baby to check the house again! We have not found anymore so far. We are starting to think it was a fluke he even got stung. We have told so many people who have lived here 20 yrs. and they have never been stung. It is crazy! So hopefully that problem is resolved! It gives me the willies still when I think about it.
We have been venturing out more. We took Taylor to church for the first time yesterday. It was fun to put her in a dress, she looked so cute (thanks Melissa)! Of course we only stayed through the second hour because she pooped everywhere and I did not have a change of clothes. I am learning that a change of clothes is an essential, I really need to be packing a change of clothes for myself too for when she spits up all over me! After church we even ran to a Christmas dinner Rob's office was having. It turned out to be a lot of fun. On Saturday my parents offered to watch Taylor for a bit so Rob and I could get out. So we went to dinner just the two of us. It was so nice, but we were both so tired that we were half asleep!

We also got our first Christmas tree. I am so excited. This is our first Christmas ever that we will be at home and not traveling. We have had so much fun setting the tree up and decorating the house. We hope the tree stays alive till Christmas though, it is already dropping so many needles! Rob swears we are getting a fake one next year. He had a hard time getting it in the base, which wasn't fun. It smells so good though!!

Rob took this picture of Taylor and I napping. I was just so tired, as always, I decided it wasn't worth it to try and get her go back to sleep in her bed. I am trying not to get into a habit of doing this though even though it is so much easier :)

Learning as we go!

Well I finally feel like we are getting somewhat of a routine down. I am learning how to take care of Taylor and manage to eat and shower myself! The lack of sleep is probably the hardest, but I think that I am even figuring out how to run without much of it. Taylor has already changed so much we feel like. Part of me wants her to stay this small forever.

We had a nice quiet Thanksgiving at my parents house. It was just what we wanted to do, relax, hang out with the family a little bit and eat some really good food.

Other than that we are still tryibg to get the house organized, it is getting there. We gave Taylor her first bath last night. She seemed to likt it even though she looks irritated in all of the pictures!

Everyone thinks she looks just like Rob! It is hard for me to tell.

They are always cute when they are asleep, huh!?!

Rob's Birthday Present...

Our little girl has arrived! She came one week early right on her daddy's birthday. Rob was so excited, he said it was the present he could ahve gotten. I started having contractions Sunday morning and they continued all day. Well by 11:00 they were about 3 min. apart and pretty uncomfortable. So we thought I guess we should go to the hospital! We get there and get all hooked up and the nurse said that my contractions weren't very strong. They had us walk around the hospital for about 30 min. and checked again and nothing was happening. I was about 3 cm. and almost 100% effaced, but I had been about 2 cm. for two weeks already so it wasn't a big jump. They told us we could keep walking or go home. So we decided to go home and try to get some sleep. At this point it was like 2 in the morning so we were pretty beat. I was able to get a couple of hourse, but the contactions were too uncomfortable so I got up and decided to unpack a bunch of boxes, because we just moved into our house, and they were just getting worse and worse. Well I wasn't sure ow long to wait because I didn't want to go back to the hospital and have them tell me I still wasn't progressing! I had a scheduled dr.'s appt. at 10:20 and we were going to try to wait and go to that. Well at 10:00 I told Rob we had to just go to the hospital, I could't take it anymore! We went to the hospital, which luckily was just 5 min. away, and the rest was a whirlwind! I was 8 cm. and they said the baby was ready to go! They were hooking me up and wheeling me into labor and delivery so fast. I got my epidural, which was wonderful! It was less than an hour later I was 10 cm. and ready to push! An hour and a half later she was here!

Her name is Taylor Diana Seymour

She was 7 lbs. 6 oz. and 19 in. long

Rob just adores her already...

We are so excited, we feel very blessed that everything went ok and that she is healthy. We have so much going on, we had just moved into our house on Thursday. So life is a little crazy, but we are already starting to adjust. We have had a lot of help, it has been nice!
